Good day friends!
Yes, we know we are lagging a bit with our January weekly features - so bear with us! :)

The images keep rolling in - it's an honour for us to represent some of the finest talent on the internet when it comes to showcasing photography of Africa's natural heritage.

+Carole Deschuymere keeps impressing us with the standard of her imagery. This photo of African Painted Dogs playing around was photographed in the amazing Mana Pools National Park in Zimbabwe.

GooglePlus Pic of the Week: 20 to 26 October 2014

The AFRICANature brand is about high quality imagery. You don't have to be a professional photographer to produce high quality imagery, but you need to know your equipment, know your subject and know how to process your photos properly.

We are very happy with the standard of images being shared with the theme - but that also makes our choice as curators even harder.

This week's weekly pic from our Google+ stream is by +Penny Robartes, and it shows some flamingos on Lake Nakuru in Kenya.

This photo is the copyright of Penny Robartes and unauthorised use is prohibited.

We had a specified theme on this week - #AfricanWings and it was all about "Birds in Flight". Birds are incredibly graceful and beautiful, and their mechanism of flight has always enthralled man.

We recieved some amazing submissions! This photo of a hovering Pied Kingfisher was taken by Mark Needham from the USA. You can see more of his work here:

GooglePlus Pic of the Week: 7 to 13 July 2014

There was one photo that really stood out to us from the +AFRICANature page on Google+...

+Penny Robartes shared this magical photo of the embattled White Rhino, where light and mood come together to tell us something more about this subject. Over 1700 rhinos have been lost in the Kruger National Park alone since 2010, with reports coming thick and fast of Mozambican poaching kingpins living it large in neighbouring towns like Massingir. It seems there is little hope left for rhinos...

Facebook Pic of the Week: 30 June to 6 July 2014

Our theme for this particular week was a popular one - it was all about the cute little animals of Africa. The hashtag in use was #AFRICANCuteness and we received some jaw-dropping images to share on our Facebook Page.

Our pic of the week is the cutest little baby Meerkat you will see this side of the millenium. The photographer is Kyle de Nobrega, and he captured this photo while working at Tswalu Kalahari Reserve in South Africa. You can see more of his work here: www.inthestixx.com
