GooglePlus Pic of the Week: 20 to 26 October 2014

The AFRICANature brand is about high quality imagery. You don't have to be a professional photographer to produce high quality imagery, but you need to know your equipment, know your subject and know how to process your photos properly.

We are very happy with the standard of images being shared with the theme - but that also makes our choice as curators even harder.

This week's weekly pic from our Google+ stream is by +Penny Robartes, and it shows some flamingos on Lake Nakuru in Kenya.

Thanks again to everyone who is contributing to the AFRICANature theme on G+. Remember to tag your quality African wildlife and landscape photos on G+ with the hashtag #AFRICANature and also tag the +AFRICANature page so we can consider your work for resharing and a possible feature here on the blog.

A truckload of quality images during the past week made choosing a favourite quite and ardous task! Eventually we felt this Olive Baboon's pose was the clincher. Photo by +Penny Robartes.

GooglePlus Pic of the Week: 14 to 20 April 2014

There were a couple of great photos shared via the +AFRICANature page on G+ during this particular week.

This photo of lion cubs on a kill by +Penny Robartes stood out to us. It was taken on the banks of the Chobe river in Botswana, and she was able to get close with the help of a photographic boat. You can see more of her work on her G+ profile as well as on her Facebook page:
