GooglePlus Pic of the Week: 12 to 18 January 2015

Hello there...
Yes, we know we are lagging a bit with our January weekly features - so bear with us! :)

The images keep rolling in - it's an honour for us to represent some of the finest talent on the internet when it comes to showcasing photography of Africa's natural heritage.

This image from +Jim Robertson surely tells a great story! It was taken in the Ngorongoro Crater conservation area, Tanzania.

Thanks again to everyone who is contributing to the AFRICANature theme on G+. Remember to tag your quality African wildlife and landscape photos on G+ with the hashtag #AFRICANature and also tag the +AFRICANature page so we can consider your work for resharing and a possible feature here on the blog.

GooglePlus Pic of the Week: 29 September to 5 October 2014

The AFRICANature brand is about high quality imagery. You don't have to be a professional photographer to produce high quality imagery, but you need to know your equipment, know your subject and know how to process your photos properly.

We are very happy with the standard of images being shared with the theme - but that also makes our choice as curators even harder.

This stunning action photo of a Cheetah chasing down a young Gazelle was shared by +Dana Allen. Make sure you check out his website for some amazing photography: http://www.photosafari-africa.net/

Thanks again to everyone who is contributing to the AFRICANature theme on G+. Facebook Pic of the Week: 22 to 28 September 2014

During this particular week we had an open theme again on the AFRICANature Facebook Page. As usual, we received some incredible images to share with our community.

We as curator team would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the contributing photographers who make this community the success that it is!

Our weekly choice from Facebook this week is this dreamscape of flocks of Lesser Flamingos over Lake Natron in the South Rift Valley, captured by Andrew Beck. You can see more of his work on his website: www.andrewbeck.co.za

Hello everyone!

Our featured photo from our +AFRICANature page on Google+ is by a travel blogger called +Susan Portnoy. You can see more of her work on her blog: http://theinsatiabletraveler.com

There are few things more iconically African than a huge Baobab tree, and to capture it in a brewing storm like this is special.

GooglePlus Pic of the Week: 24 to 30 March 2014

It's been a good week for the #AFRICANature theme on G+...
The quality and frequency of photos being shared is increasing every day. Thanks to all our curators who make sure we share regularly and share high quality photography from Africa.

This week's choice goes to the current reigning BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year, +greg du toit. You can see more of his amazing photography on his website: www.gregdutoit.com

This photo shows an endangered Chimpanzee from the Mahale mountains in Tanzania, striking a very anthropomorphic pose. Remember to check out the +AFRICANature page and share your photos with us using the hashtag #AFRICANature on Facebook and Google+!
