Facebook Pic of the Week: 14 to 20 April 2014

Well, we're running a tad behind with the weekly pic announcements, but don't fear - we will catch up in no time.

The week of 14 to 20 April 2014 was a week where anything was allowed (no specific theme, thus), and this stellar and eye-dropping photo stood out to us. It was taken by well-known legendary wildlife photographer Daryl Balfour. You can see more of his amazing work on his website: www.darylbalfour.com

Facebook Pic of the Week: 13 to 19 January 2014

Don't stress too much about these dates you are seeing in these posts - we are busy catching up on posting pics of the week from our Facebook page for 2014.

The week of 13 to 19 January had no specific theme - but this image stood out for us in any case...how cute can you get? The cuteness itself is complemented by a great low angle, good action frozen through the shutter speed and lovely light.

The photographer of this Meerkat moment is Wim Vorster. Check out his website here: www.wildwebafrica.com

Facebook Pic of the Week: 17 to 23 February 2014

Our theme for this particular week was "Love & Hate: African Affection or Anger in Nature" - and sharing was done using the hashtag #LoveHate.

For this selection - we chose 2 photos - our favourite shot showing affection, and our favourite shot showing anger.

Affection:
This photo is by Carole Deschuymere, and captures a wonderful moment between a honeymoon couple in the bush. You can see more of Carole's awesome wildlife photography on her webiste: www.carole-wildlife.com

Anger:
This photo is by Roel van Muiden, a field guide based in South Africa. It captures the rare interaction between the shy and elusive Brown Hyena and the more common Spotted Hyena. No love lost here! His website can be found here: www.rvmwildphoto.com
